John married his high-school sweetheart in 1989, and together they are the parents of five children ranging in ages from five to eleven years old. John is active in church and community activities, and as a compliment to his love of God, Country, Family, and the practice of law, is an avid St. Cloud State University Husky Hockey fan, who also enjoys his children's multitude of activities, Husky, Gopher, and Viking football, and hunting, fishing, reading, and traveling to warm tropical destinations with family and friends.
